CHARACTERS
Woman: Young woman in her mid-20s with long dark-brown hair, expressive brown eyes and natural realistic features. She wears an elegant sleeveless fitted black dress. Keep her face, hairstyle, clothing and body proportions perfectly consistent.
Man: Young man in his late 20s, tall and lean, dark hair, wearing an elegant white dinner jacket, white shirt, black bow tie and black trousers.
In the frightening present-day scenes, the man appears severely transformed: his exposed hand and portions of his skin are dark, charred and corpse-like, with rough burned texture and unnatural gray-black fingers. Keep the effect cinematic rather than excessively graphic.
00:00–00:06 — TERRIFYING CHASE
Open inside a long underground pedestrian tunnel with cold turquoise-green fluorescent lighting, tiled walls, concrete ceiling beams and repeating rectangular ceiling lights disappearing into the distance.
The woman runs desperately toward camera.
Her long hair whips violently behind her. She is breathing hard, terrified and repeatedly looking over her shoulder.
Behind her, the man in the white dinner jacket runs after her.
Use a fast backward tracking camera, staying directly in front of the woman. Alternate briefly between a tight frightened facial close-up and a wider side-tracking shot showing both characters sprinting through the tunnel.
The man stretches one arm toward her.
Cut to an extreme close-up of his horrifying blackened, damaged hand getting closer and closer to her bare shoulder.
Just before his fingers touch her—
00:06–00:12 — MATCH CUT INTO THE MEMORY
Make a seamless visual match cut.
The frightening dark hand instantly becomes the man's normal healthy hand, positioned in exactly the same place.
The cold turquoise tunnel transforms into a beautiful sunset beach.
Warm golden sunlight floods the frame.
The woman is now laughing happily while running barefoot beside the ocean. Her black dress flows naturally in the sea breeze.
The man is completely normal and handsome again, still wearing his elegant white dinner jacket.
He playfully reaches toward her shoulder while chasing her.
She turns around laughing.
They run together along the shoreline, holding hands and smiling.
Golden sun reflects across the ocean behind them. Wind moves their hair and clothing. Their body language shows that this was once a deeply happy relationship.
Use dreamy handheld tracking, warm backlighting, natural lens flare and intimate close-ups.
The sequence should briefly feel like a completely different film: romantic, nostalgic, peaceful and genuinely joyful.
00:12–00:13 — SNAP BACK TO REALITY
Without warning, smash-cut back to the cold underground tunnel.
Same framing.
Same reaching-hand composition.
But his hand is once again dark, damaged and frightening.
All warm colors disappear instantly.
Return to harsh cyan-green fluorescent lighting and deep shadows.
00:13–00:20 — CORNERED
The woman reaches the end/side of the tunnel and backs against the tiled wall.
She has nowhere left to run.
She suddenly pulls out a small black knife and holds it defensively with both hands.
Her hands shake badly.
She is crying, breathing rapidly and staring at the approaching man.
Camera slowly pushes toward her face.
Her expression changes from pure terror to confusion and recognition.
The man approaches slowly instead of attacking.
Show an extreme shallow-focus shot of his damaged hand cautiously reaching toward her.
She raises the knife—
but cannot bring herself to use it.
Tears fill her eyes.
00:20–00:27 — EMOTIONAL REVEAL
The man steps close.
Instead of hurting her, he suddenly embraces her tightly.
She freezes for a fraction of a second.
Then recognition overwhelms her.
The knife lowers out of frame.
She wraps both arms around him.
She begins sobbing uncontrollably against his shoulder, gripping the back of his white jacket as if she has finally found someone she believed she had lost.
Hold an intimate close-up on her face over his shoulder.
Her makeup is slightly disturbed by tears. Her breathing is uneven. Her hands tremble against his back.
The frightening figure is revealed emotionally as someone she once deeply loved.
Slowly push closer to her crying face and her hand clutching his jacket.
End without explaining whether the man is real, dead, imagined, remembered, or something supernatural.
The audience should be left with the unsettling feeling that the terrifying chase and the beautiful beach memory are connected.
CAMERA + EDITING
Use energetic tracking during the chase, intimate handheld movement during the beach memory, and slower controlled push-ins during the emotional ending.
The most important visual transition is:
charred hand reaching toward shoulder → identical composition of healthy hand reaching toward shoulder on the beach → charred hand again in the tunnel.
The match cuts must feel extremely precise so the past and present visually overlap.
Maintain perfect character identity and wardrobe continuity throughout.
Realistic skin pores, natural facial asymmetry, individual hair strands, genuine tears, realistic wet eyes, subtle sweat, natural blinking and breathing. Avoid plastic skin, beauty filters, CGI-looking faces, warped hands, extra fingers, inconsistent clothing, identity changes, exaggerated horror gore or artificial expressions.
