STYLE:
Ultra-realistic cinematic maritime mythology, dark ancient ocean, photorealistic characters, realistic water physics, practical-looking creature design, dramatic moonlight, volumetric fog, wet surfaces, atmospheric sea spray, high-end Hollywood cinematography, ARRI Alexa 65 aesthetic, anamorphic cinematic lenses, natural motion blur, deep blacks, high contrast, 4K, premium VFX, 16:9.
PACING:
Fast-paced cinematic storytelling with constant visual progression. No static shots longer than necessary. Every shot should naturally motivate the next shot through movement, sound, camera direction, lighting, or match cuts.
Avoid slow exposition. Build tension continuously.
SHOT 1 — 0–4 SEC
EXTREME WIDE ESTABLISHING SHOT.
A lone wooden sailing ship cuts rapidly through a dark ocean at night.
Huge waves crash against the hull. Thick fog moves across the water. Lightning briefly illuminates distant storm clouds.
Camera starts high above the ship and rapidly pushes downward toward the deck.
CUT smoothly into—
SHOT 2 — 4–7 SEC
HANDHELD CINEMATIC DECK SHOT.
The male sailor urgently adjusts the ship's wheel as the vessel fights the waves.
Lantern light flickers across his face.
He suddenly freezes.
The wind dies.
The violent ocean becomes unnaturally quiet.
Camera rapidly pushes toward his face as he hears something.
A faint female voice singing through the fog.
No visible siren yet.
SHOT 3 — 7–11 SEC
POV SHOT FROM THE SAILOR.
He looks toward the ocean.
Dense fog rolls across the water.
A distant silhouette briefly appears on a jagged rock.
The singing becomes clearer.
Camera slowly advances toward the silhouette while the sailor steps toward the railing.
The silhouette disappears.
A sudden wave crashes against the ship.
MATCH CUT to—
SHOT 4 — 11–15 SEC
FAST CLOSE-UP SEQUENCE.
Extreme close-up of the sailor's eyes.
Cut to his hand gripping the wet wooden railing.
Cut to the ocean.
Cut back to his face.
The singing continues.
He suddenly realizes something terrifying:
the voice sounds exactly like HIS OWN VOICE.
The singing whispers his name.
English dialogue, whispered and natural:
SIREN:
“Come closer…”
The sailor looks horrified.
SHOT 5 — 15–19 SEC
FAST TRACKING SHOT.
The sailor moves through thick fog toward the front of the ship.
Camera tracks backward in front of him.
The singing grows louder.
Fragments of old shipwrecks appear through the fog.
Broken masts.
Human bones.
Old wooden debris.
The camera whips around—
SHOT 6 — 19–23 SEC
SIREN REVEAL.
The siren is sitting completely motionless on a jagged black rock above the water.
She is beautiful from a distance but deeply unnatural up close.
Long wet black hair.
Pale cold-toned skin.
Black reflective eyes.
Subtle aquatic scales.
Sharp teeth.
Dark predatory tail partially visible through the waves.
She slowly raises her head.
She is singing in the EXACT SAME VOICE as the sailor.
The sailor stares at her in disbelief.
The siren smiles slightly.
SHOT 7 — 23–27 SEC
RAPID ESCALATION.
Close-up of the siren's mouth as she sings.
Cut to the sailor taking one involuntary step toward the edge.
Cut to his boots sliding across the wet deck.
Cut to dozens of skeletal remains scattered across the rocks beneath the siren.
Cut back to the sailor.
The siren whispers using his own voice:
SIREN:
“Come home.”
The sailor's expression changes from confusion to terror.
SHOT 8 — 27–30 SEC
FINAL CINEMATIC PAYOFF.
The sailor takes one final step toward the ocean.
Suddenly the camera swings behind him.
Hundreds of faint glowing eyes appear beneath the black water.
Multiple sirens are silently surrounding the ship.
The main siren looks directly into the camera.
Her mouth opens slightly, revealing sharp teeth.
The ocean violently surges upward.
SMASH CUT TO BLACK.
Sound of a massive wave.
Then complete silence.
FINAL AUDIO:
A faint echo of the sailor's own voice whispering:
“Help me…”
SOUND DESIGN:
Heavy ocean waves, creaking wooden ship, rope tension, distant thunder, wind abruptly stopping, subtle underwater ambience, eerie female singing, heartbeat building progressively, sudden silence before the final reveal, deep cinematic impact at the cut to black.
